In a flexible cystoscopy, a thin, bendable tube with a camera is passed gently into the bladder through the urine passage, after numbing jelly is applied. It usually takes only a few minutes, and most people go home straight afterwards. Some mild burning, or a little blood in the urine, for a day or two is common.
