Radiotherapy has no role in kidney cancer because it is radioresistant?

Standard radiotherapy, given in many small doses, works less well against kidney cancer than against many other cancers. Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) gives a few very precise, high doses, and can control small kidney tumours in people who can't have surgery, as well as areas of spread in the bones, brain, lungs and elsewhere. It is also very effective at relieving pain.
