Most pancreatic cancers are adenocarcinomas (PDAC). Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PNETs) are a different disease: they often grow more slowly, have a much better outlook, and are treated differently. Within PDAC, molecular testing finds treatable changes, such as BRCA changes, in a minority of patients.
