Even when cancer has spread, chemotherapy can slow it and extend life. Jaundice can be relieved by placing a small tube (stent) in the bile duct through an endoscope. Pain can be controlled well with medicines or nerve blocks. Enzyme capsules help digestion, and palliative care supports quality of life at every stage.
