Radiotherapy has no role in bone sarcomas?

Radiotherapy is an established part of treatment for Ewing sarcoma, and has important roles in some other sarcomas. Osteosarcoma is less sensitive to it, but it can still help in specific situations.

Ewing sarcoma responds well to radiotherapy, which may be used instead of surgery when an operation would cause too much damage, for example in the pelvis or spine, or alongside surgery. Rhabdomyosarcoma and many soft tissue sarcomas are also often treated with radiotherapy. Osteosarcoma is less sensitive to radiation, but radiotherapy may be used when surgery isn't possible, when the tumour could not be removed completely, or to relieve pain.
