Treatment for advanced bladder cancer has improved considerably. Options include chemotherapy, immunotherapy medicines that help the immune system attack the cancer, and antibody–drug conjugates, which deliver a cancer-killing drug directly to cancer cells. A newer combination of an antibody–drug conjugate with immunotherapy has improved survival in recent trials. Radiotherapy can also help control symptoms such as bleeding or pain.
