Pancreatic cancer always causes severe abdominal pain?

Early pancreatic cancer may cause no pain. Some people first notice unexplained weight loss, jaundice, loss of appetite or new diabetes.

Pancreatic cancer is often silent in its early stages. The first signs depend on where the tumour is: a tumour in the head of the pancreas often causes jaundice early, while tumours elsewhere may cause only vague discomfort and weight loss until later.
