Finding a lump is frightening. That fear makes many women either panic, or avoid a check-up because they are afraid of the answer.

Most breast lumps are benign. Common causes include cysts, fibroadenomas and hormonal changes. The chance of cancer rises with age, and neither you nor a doctor can tell what a lump is just by feeling it. Doctors usually combine a clinical examination, imaging such as an ultrasound or mammogram, and a biopsy if needed.

కంగారు పడకండి, వాయిదా వేయకండి. కొత్తగా ఏ గడ్డ కనిపించినా డాక్టర్‌కు చూపించండి. చాలాసార్లు జవాబు ధైర్యం ఇచ్చేదే అవుతుంది.
Don't panic, and don't postpone. Get any new lump checked by a doctor. In most cases, the answer will be reassuring.
