Stereotactic radiosurgery treats several small deposits precisely in one to five sessions, sparing memory. Large deposits causing pressure can be removed by surgery. Targeted medicines for EGFR- or ALK-positive lung cancer, HER2-positive breast cancer and melanoma treatments can shrink brain deposits. Outlook depends on the cancer type, the number of deposits and general fitness.
