Chemotherapy tablets (temozolomide) are weaker than injections?

Temozolomide capsules are real chemotherapy. They are the standard chemotherapy for glioblastoma and many other gliomas and need the same care as any chemotherapy.

Temozolomide passes into the brain well and, given with radiotherapy, improves survival in glioblastoma. Because it is powerful, it lowers blood counts in some people (more often women), so blood tests are needed every week during radiotherapy and before each cycle. It should be taken on an empty stomach with an anti-sickness tablet, and it can harm an unborn baby.
