All head and neck cancers are caused by HPV?

HPV, a common virus, causes a portion of cancers of the oropharynx, the part of the throat that includes the tonsils and the back of the tongue. These HPV-related cancers often respond well to treatment. But most cancers of the mouth and voice box, especially in India, are caused by tobacco, areca nut and alcohol.

Don't assume that being HPV-free protects you if you use tobacco or areca nut. HPV vaccination protects against the HPV types linked with these cancers; ask your doctor whether it is recommended for your children.
